Karen Foss
I gained my degree in fine art painting in the 1980's at St. Martin's School of Art, London, where I was mainly inspired by constructivism and then minimalism.
I moved to Cornwall in 2002 to paint and make 3-D pieces mainly using acrylic paint on canvas but also working with oils, inks, recycled materials and drawing.
My work is about my experience of life and environment. I absorb what I see and how I see and then the alchemy happens in the studio in front of the work to a point where I feel a piece is "finished".
